God taking the risk.
And will not God grant justice to his chosen ones who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long in helping them? I tell you, he will quickly grant justice to them. And yet, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth? (Luke 18:7-8)
Have you ever thought about the significant risk God took when He sent Christ onto the cross? That God didn’t know in advance with certainty that the sacrifice would be having any effect on the Jews (then on the Gentiles)? That anyone would believe according to the new rules? Was there a chance that no one would accept God among the Jews and then among the Gentiles? An extraordinary dimension of the crucifixion was that God didn’t know that He would succeed or not, and He still took that risk.
